Help spread the word about voting abroad in 2024
Not many South Africans living abroad know that they can vote overseas, and because every vote counts, we need your help to inform them, and get as many South Africans to the voting stations in 2024.
Step 1
Check your voter registration status on the IEC website.
Step 2
If you are registered to vote then go on to social media (Twitter, Facebook or Instagram) and nominate two other people to check their registration status by tagging them in the following post:
I just checked my voter registration status, and I’m registered to vote. I plan to vote abroad in 2024 and I nominate [Tag your 1st friend abroad] and [Tag your 2nd friend abroad] to check if they’re registered to vote. #Uplus2 #VoteHomeSA
If you are not registered to vote, then please do so as soon as possible [Find out how here]. Then, when you’re registering to vote post a photo of yourself on social media and nominate two others to register by tagging them in the following post:
I’ve just registered to vote abroad in 2024 because my vote counts! I nominate [Tag your 1st friend abroad] and [Tag your 2nd friend abroad] to check if they’re registered to vote. #Uplus2 #VoteHomeSA
Lekker! You’ve done your bit to keep South Africa’s democracy alive!
Dankie. Enkosi. Ngiyabonga. Ke A Leboga. Thank You.
